A bubble should say what is present in your own life—not expose, accuse, sell to, or attack someone else.

What belongs
ElseToo is for experiences, thoughts, situations, activities, and ordinary moments. It is not limited to emotions or mental health.
Examples include “making dinner,” “starting over,” “can’t sleep,” “learning guitar,” “missing someone,” “watching the rain,” and “proud of myself.”
Difficult human experiences—including grief, loneliness, depression, fear, and uncertainty—are not treated as bad words merely because they are difficult.
What does not belong
- Names, phone numbers, addresses, account details, or other identifying information.
- Accusations, rumours, doxxing, or claims about another identifiable person.
- Threats, targeted harassment, hate, slurs, or encouragement of violence.
- Sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, or graphic explicit content.
- Instructions that facilitate serious wrongdoing or dangerous acts.
- Commercial promotion, solicitation, repetitive spam, or links.
- Attempts to manipulate counts, evade moderation, or impersonate the service.
How moderation works
Joining an existing approved bubble can happen immediately. Genuinely new wording stays private while it is checked. It may be approved, combined with an existing bubble that means the same thing, or not published.
Automated checks help us handle scale, but uncertain and higher-risk cases remain private for human review. An automated check may temporarily hide a reported bubble while it awaits review, but it does not close the report or suspend an account. Final enforcement decisions remain reviewable by a person. We may hide a bubble, suspend contribution access, or preserve limited safety records when needed to protect the service.
Reporting and appeals
Press and hold a bubble on touch devices, or use its report control on the website, then choose the closest reason. Reports are private. Misusing reports to target acceptable difficult experiences or overwhelm the system may result in contribution limits.

Child safety standards
ElseToo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Creating, uploading, linking to, soliciting, or distributing this content is prohibited, even though the first release is limited to adults aged 18 or older.
People can report a bubble from inside the app or website. When we obtain actual knowledge of apparent CSAM or CSAE, we remove the content, restrict the private account involved, preserve only the records needed for safety and legal compliance, and report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the appropriate regional authority when required by applicable law.

When someone needs urgent help
ElseToo is not monitored as an emergency service and cannot provide medical or crisis care. Wording that suggests an immediate danger may stay private rather than become a public bubble.
